What they don’t know is that breastfeeding can actually help you burn up to 500 calories per day, depending on how much your baby feeds from you. Moreover, be careful not to overdo your diet when breastfeeding as whatever food you eat can affect your baby’s health.
Tip #3: Prepare healthy snacks at home
New moms are likely to stay at home for several weeks or so to be with their babies. Those times at home will surely get you to eat snacks more often, thus, having some healthy snacks ready will help you avoid munching on junk foods. When you do your grocery list, make sure to include some fruits and other healthy snacks that you can easily prepare and munch on when you’re bored at home.
Tip #4: Post natal exercises
There are a lot of post natal exercises that you can at home. Just be careful not to overdo your workout as you’re still probably recovering from your delivery.
Try doing easy exercises for now like walking your baby at the park or doing some stretching in the morning.
Remember that your workout program doesn’t need to be intense. You just have to get yourself moving.
Tip #5: Don’t skip your meals
Skipping meals will just make you crave for food even more, and the more you crave, the more food you’re likely to eat. Also, skipping your meals can damage your metabolic process so make sure to eat whenever you have to.
